Home My WebLink About20243264.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE MODIFICATION LETTER FOR TERM EXTENSION TO NOTICE OF FUNDING ALLOCATION (NFA) AND WORK PLAN FOR WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT (WIOA) FOR RESKILLING, UPSKILLING, AND NEXT-SKILLING (RUN) WORKERS PROGRAM, AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR AND DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Modification Letter for Term Extension to the Notice of Funding Allocation (NFA) and Work Plan for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) for the Reskilling, Upskilling, and Next-Skilling (RUN) Workers Program between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, commencing upon full execution of signatures, and ending April 30, 2025, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said modification letter, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said modification letter, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Modification Letter for Term Extension to the Notice of Funding Allocation (NFA) and Work Plan for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) for the Reskilling, Upskilling, and Next-Skilling (RUN) Workers Program between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, be, and hereby is, approved. This Modification Letter will amend the Period of Performance, extending the term through April 30, 2025, on the following prior RUN Notice of Funding Allocations (NFAs) known to the Board as Tyler ID#'s: 2022-2535 — Approved on 09/14/2022; 2022-3120 - Approved on 10/16/2022; 2023-0656 - Approved on 03/14/2023; 2024-2950 - Approved on 11/06/2024. The purpose of the RUN Workers Program is to support individuals in need of reskilling, up-skilling, and/or next skilling. This program offers broad flexibility to recipients to address local conditions. This includes providing assistance to allow individuals to access and participate in short-term training to obtain an industry -recognized credential. What options exist for the Board?
