RE: APPROVE REORGANIZATION OF PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on February 1, 2021, the Public Information Office was reorganized and
organizationally placed under the Director of Administrative Services as a direct report, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has evaluated the Weld County Public
Information Office and its' role in Weld County government and determined that it can best serve
the needs of the current Board of Weld County Commissioners by organizationally placing it back
under the Board of Weld County Commissioners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Public Information Office will be organizationally placed
under the Board of County Commissioners, and instead of the Public Information Officer reporting
to the Director of Administrative Services, said individual will report directly to the Board of County
Commissioners, effective April 24, 2024.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 24th day of April, A.D., 2024.
