PROCLAMATION
EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY
FRIDAY, MARCH 1, 2024
WHEREAS, Weld County Government is home to more than 1,800 employees, working across
various departments, who strive to serve residents in the best possible manner each day; and
WHEREAS, in a county stretching over 4,000 square miles, our employees provide residents
with many necessary services. Whether it be taking care of our transportation infrastructure,
providing critical human and public health services, keeping us safe by running a county jail,
facilitating award winning 911 dispatching service, or organizing one of the best county fairs
in the state, our employees make Weld County Government the best it can be; and
WHEREAS, Employee Appreciation Day aims to highlight the commitment of employees
everywhere, and we join in that effort. The innovative, responsive, and cost-effective service
we aim to provide is only possible through the dedication of our employees, and we truly thank
them for their effort; and
WHEREAS, this proclamation is only one way we're showing appreciation to our employees.
Throughout the week, be sure to visit the county's Facebook and X platforms for social posts
further highlighting the great effort of our employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED in honor of Employee Appreciation Day the Weld
County Board of Commissioners recognizes all of our employees and the dedication shown
every day in serving Weld County residents.
