NATIONAL NURSES WEEK
MAY 6-12, 2024
WHEREAS, all nurses in Weld County are a vital part of our county's public health care
system and play an essential role in providing high -quality healthcare, compassion, and
support to individuals and families across Weld County; and
WHEREAS, public health nurses in Weld County make a difference by providing specific
clinical services to improve public health outcomes for the entire community, such as giving
support to new mothers in their homes through Nurse Family Partnership, coordinating
services for families with children with special needs through the HCP program, ensuring
treatment compliance for patients with TB, or providing clinical services like childhood
vaccinations, STI testing, and health screenings; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners wishes to publicly declare their
appreciation for all nurses within the community and the Weld County Department of Public
Health and Environment for their tireless dedication, sacrifice, and professionalism in serving
our county's healthcare needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, by the Board of Weld County Commissioners
that May 61h through May 12th, 2024, be known as National Nurses Week. We call upon the
residents of Weld County to join us in thanking all nurses for the difference they make in
caring for the people of Weld County. May their compassion and commitment continue to
