Brief description of the problem/issue: Fleet Services must replace a truck that was totaled due to an accident.
Weld County Code allows for the use of Cooperative Purchasing at the discretion of The BOCC.
What options exist for the Board? The Board has the option to approve or deny this purchase.
Consequences: If approved, Fleet Services will move ahead with this purchase utilizing the State Pricing
Agreement.
Impacts: If denied, Fleet Services will begin the bid process for one truck.
Costs (Current Fiscal Year / Ongoing or Subsequent Fiscal Years): $50,716 total.
Recommendation: Fleet Services recommends The Board approve utilizing the State Pricing Agreement to
procure QTY (1) 2024 Ford F-250 from Ken Garff Ford Greeley.

Subject: State Pricing Agreement — 2024 Ford F-250
Weld County Code Section 5-4-100 Cooperative Purchasing allows the Board of County Commissioners
to "accept any of the state bids without rebidding the same goods/services at the discretion of the
Board of County Commissioners or the Department of Purchasing".
The Colorado State Purchasing Agreement #185153 was advertised for bid and awarded to Ken Garff
Fort Greeley. This agreement lists a 2024 F-250, 4X4 Super Cab truck with a base price of $45,026.00.
In addition, the State Purchasing Agreement allows adding items that are not included in the base
price. Fleet Services is recommending adding the following items that total $5,690.00. This is due to
the vehicle already being built and available for immediate delivery. And to replace a similar vehicle
involved in an accident recently.

Fleet Customer Powertrain Limited Warranty
Requires valid FIN code.
Ford is increasing the 5 -year 60,000 -mile limited powertrain warranty to 5 -
years, 100,000 miles. Only Fleet purchasers with a valid Fleet
Identification Number (FIN code) will receive the extended warranty.
When the sale is entered into the sales reporting system with a sales type
fleet along with a valid FIN code, the warranty extension will automatically
be added to the vehicle. The extension will stay with the vehicle even if it
is subsequently sold to a non -fleet customer before the expiration. This
extension applies to both gas and diesel powertrains. Dealers can check
for the warranty extension on eligible fleet vehicles in OASIS. Please refer
to the Warranty and Policy Manual section 3.13.00 Gas Engine
Commercial Warranty. This change will also be reflected in the printed
Warranty Guided distributed with the purchase of every new vehicle.
