Our vision is to provide all Weld County children, youth, and families with a community of safe and stable families and individuals where the basic needs of all are met with respect and dignity. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners that May 2024 be known as Foster Care Month in Weld County. We call upon the citizens of Weld County to observe this month by taking time to encourage and support children and youth in foster and kinship care, and to recognize the commitment of those who touch their lives, especially honoring and celebrating foster and kinship parents and our dedicated child welfare professionals.
