RE: APPROVE REORGANIZATION OF WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN
RESOURCES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has conducted an organizational
evaluation of the Weld County Department of Human Resources, and
WHEREAS, as a result of the organizational evaluation, the Board has made the
management and legislative decision to reorganize the department according to the
organizational chart, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A," and
WHEREAS, the Chief Human Resources Officer is hereby directed to notify the
employee(s) currently in the position(s) which will be eliminated through said reorganization of
the elimination of their position(s) at least ten (10) days prior to said release, in accordance with
the requirements of Section 3-5-10.C of the Weld County Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Department of Human Resources shall be reorganized,
effective July 1, 2024, as set forth in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 26th day of June, A.D., 2024.
