Planned Site Access
Background
Mountain Peak Power, LLC is proposing construction of a supplemental, natural gas fired power plant in
Weld County off County Road 55 northwest of the Town of Keenesburg. The site will be co -located with
the existing United Power Tesla Substation. Refer to Site Plan drawing 31324-GG 101 located in
Attachment 3 for sign locations described herein.
Site Access
The current site access is off County Road 55, just north of intersection of Count Road 22. This provides
access to the existing Tesla Substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The Project will not
require an alternate or new site access point and will utilize this existing site access point.
Applicant worked with United Power and BESS Contractor's engineer to create a Combined Site Plan
(contained herein) that shows access to and around the site from existing site access point off County Road
55. The Combined Site Plan shows existing and planned internal site roads around the site providing access
to the Tesla Substation, the BESS, and Applicant's planned project area and structures.
The Combined Site Plan was created to ensure emergency responders have across the site to all structures,
both existing and new. This includes access during Applicant's planned construction period. Applicant will
ensure planned site roads are open and accessible during construction and will not be impeded by
construction laydown, construction trailers, and contractor parking. Should an emergency occur, emergency
responders will be able to access the site as needed. Please see the Emergency Response Plan in Attachment
22 for more information.
The Combined Site Plan was prepared and sealed by engineers registered in the State of Colorado by both
Ameresco's engineer and Applicant's engineer. Ameresco is the BESS Contractor, their engineer is Barr
Engineering. Applicant's engineer is Stanley Consultants, Inc.
