APPRENTICESHIP WEEK
NOVEMBER 17- 23, 2024
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners wishes to recognize that
Employment Services of Weld County partners with local employers, educational
institutions, and labor organizations to promote and expand apprenticeship opportunities
that address both the current and future needs of our region's economy, ensuring that
Weld County remains competitive and resilient in the face of evolving industry demands;
and
WHEREAS, apprenticeships provide a win -win solution for both job seekers and employers
by offering structured, on-the-job learning and mentorship that leads to long-term career
growth for individuals and a highly skilled workforce for businesses; and
WHEREAS, Employment Services of Weld County is committed to supporting and
strengthening the apprenticeship system, working diligently to increase awareness of and
participation in these programs, and to celebrate the successes of both apprentices and
the employers who support them.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, by the Board of Weld County Commissioners
that November 17-23, 2024, be known as Apprenticeship Week in Weld County and
encourages all citizens, employers, and educational institutions to recognize and celebrate
the value of apprenticeships in fostering workforce development, economic growth, and
lifelong career success.
