WELD COUNTY CHILD SUPPORT AWARENESS MONTH
AUGUST 2024
WHEREAS all children deserve to have their basic needs met, our children are our most precious
and valuable resource, and by investing in them, we secure a future of hope and opportunity for
us all; and
WHEREAS the welfare of our children, and ensuring they receive the care needed to become
healthy, happy, and productive citizens is the most important responsibility we have as parents;
WHEREAS the Weld County Division of Child Support Services demonstrates its ongoing
dedication to enhancing family engagement, eliminating barriers, expanding innovative services,
partnering with community resources to increase economic stability, and distributing over 22
million dollars yearly to families within our community; and
WHEREAS, Weld County acknowledges the dedicated child support workers, clerks of the court,
attorneys, magistrates, and judges throughout the county who work diligently to establish and
enforce child support obligations for the benefit of children in Weld County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners that
August 2024 be known as Weld County Child Support Awareness Month and encourages all
citizens to join us in this important observance and to salute the parents and caretakers who
support the children in our community.
