NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the County Treasurer, Charles 0. Bursiel, be and he is hereby authorized to cancel County tax sale certificate No. 149 of the 1955 tax sale on Lots 47 to 50, Block L, Evans Add for the taxes of 1954 with the 1955, 1956 and 1957 taxes endorsed thereon. The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote: AYES:-0)m/ DATED: MARCH 30, 1966 APPROVED: County *ttorney /U( ,..Lav 7 E BOARD OF CIU e WELD COUNTY, COL TY COMMISSION S RADO %.' 660015 CHARLES O BURSIEL, TREASURER F. M. (MIKE) LOUSTALET. DEPUTY COUNTY TREASURER P. 0. Box 458 8O632 March 29, 1966 Board of County Commissioners Weld County Greeley, Colorado Sirs: PHONE 353-2212 AREA CODE 303 Deed File #2399 In connection with a Treasurer's Deed issued to Weld County for Lots 47 to 50 Block L Evans Add on October 29, 1963 beg to advise that this description went to tax sale in 1955 and tax sale certificate No. 149 was issued to an individual. This certificate was later -asigned: The original holder and the assignee paid subsequent taxes for 195.5, 195-6 and 19..57 but no payment being paid in 1959 for the 1958 taxes, it went to tax sale again and certificate No. 270 was issued and struck off to the County and was the basis of the Treasurer's Deed issued to the County later. In issuing this Deed, the holder of certificate No. 149 of the 1955 tax sale was notified by certified mail at his last known address and a certified receipt was returned to us. As the holder of the first certificate had the privilege of redeeming the last certificate on which the property was deeded and didn't do it, it is my understanding that it makes the first certificate null and void and poses two questions: Is the holder of certificate No. 149 of the 1955 tax sale entitled to anything? Has the Board authority to authorize me to cancel it by resolution? If the answer to the first question is No and to the second question Yes, I ask the Board by resolution to authorize me to cancel certificate No. 149 of the 1955 tax sale on Lots 47 to 50 Block L Evans Add for the taxes of 1954 with the 1955, 1956 and 1957 taxes endorsed thereon. ery truly ours, C iarlesursie i' Weld County Treasurer Hello
