Know all Men by these Presents: That
Metal Products Division, Armco Steel Corporation, Denver, Colorado
(hereinafter called the PRINCIPAL) and the MARYLAND CASUALTY COMPANY, a corporation created
and existing under the laws of the State of Maryland, and whose principal office is located in Baltimore City,
Maryland, (hereinafter called the SURETY) are held and firmly bound unto County of Weld,
Colorado, Greeley, Colorado
(hereinafter called the OBLIGEE)
in the full and just sum of Five Percent (5%) of amount of Bid' Dollars
good and lawful money of the United States of America, to the payment of which said sum of money, well and
truly to be made and done, the said PRINCIPAL binds himself, his heirs, executors, administrators, successors
and assigns, and the said SURETY binds itself, its successors and assigns, jointly and severally, firmly by these
presents.

The conditions of this obligation are such, that if any awards made, within sixty (60) days from the date
of this instrument, by said OBLIGEE to the above bounded PRINCIPAL under a public invitation for
furnishing structural steel and miscellaneous metal for Kuner
Bridge near Kuner, Colorado
shall be accepted by said PRINCIPAL and said PRINCIPAL shall enter into a contract for the completion of
said work, and give Bond with the MARYLAND CASUALTY COMPANY, as surety, or with other surety or
sureties to be approved by the OBLIGEE for the faithful performance thereof, then this obligation shall be null
and void; otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
PROVIDED: First :—That the liability of the SURETY shall in no event exceed the penalty of this bond.
Second :—That any suits at law or proceedings in equity brought or to be brought. against
said SURETY to recover any -claim hereunder, must be instituted within six (6) months from We date of this
instrument.

Know all Men by these Presents: That MARYLAND CASUALTY COMPANY, a corpora-
tion created by and existing under the laws of the State of Maryland, of Baltimore City, Maryland, in pursuance
of the authority set forth in Section 13 of Article V of its By-laws, from which the following is a true extract, and
which Section has not been amended nor rescinded:
"The Chairman of the Board or the President or any Vice -President may, by written instrument under
the attested corporate seal, appoint attorneys -in -fad with authority to execute bonds, policies,
recognizances, stipulations, undertakings, or other like instruments on behalf of the Corporation,
and may authorize any officer or any such attorney -in -fact to affix the corporate seal thereto; and
may with or without cause modify or revoke any such appointment or authority,"
does hereby nominate, constitute and appoint Organ Nx Waal,

to make, execute, seal, and deliver on its behalf as Surety, and as its act and deed, any and all bonds, recogni-
zances, stipulations, undertakings, and other like instruments.
Such bonds, recognizances, stipulations, undertakings, or other like instruments shall be binding upon said
Company as fully and to all intents and purposes as if such instruments had been duly executed and acknowl-
edged and delivered by the authorized officers of the Company when duly executed by the aforesaid
attorney in feet.

Gentlemen:
The undersigned, having familiarized himself/themselves with the
local conditions affecting the cost of the work and with the Contract Documents,
including the Form of Proposal, Form of Contract, Form of Performance Bond,
and drawings, hereby proposes to perform everything required to be performed
and to provide and furnish all of the labor, materials, necessary tools,
expendable equipment, and all utility and transportation services necessary to
perform end complete in a workmanlike manner all of the work required in
connection with the fabricating and supplying of structural steel and
miscellaneous metalwork for the Kuner Bridge to be constructed by the County
of Weld, Colorado, all in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor
as prepared by Nelson, Haley, Patterson, and Quirk, Engineering Consultants,
including Addenda Nos. , �, and , issued thereto, for the sum set
forth in the following Eliding schedule; it being understood that each of the
items is to be fabricated, delivered, and ready for use, including all labor,
materials, and expendable equipment of every kind and nature necessary to
fabricate, deliver and perform the same, and that each item shall be fabricated
in all aspects so as to accomplish the purpose for which the same was intended
by the said plans and specifications:
A. All structural steel and miscellaneous metal delivered to rail siding at
Kuner, Colorado, or to county storage yard at Kuner, Colorado.

This bid does not include furnishing, fabricating, or delivering any of the

The total contract price shall be the basis for establishing the
amount of the performance bond on this Contract.
If awarded this Contract the undersigned agrees to enter into a
Contract within ten (10) days and to complete the work to the satisfaction of
the said Owner within forty-five (45) days after notification in writing to
start work.
Proposal - 2
The erection of this bridge by county bridge crews is scheduled for
low water and prior to heavy fall use. Liquidated damages in the amount of
One Hundred (100) Dollars per day will be deducted from monies due the steel
supplier for each calendar day necessary to complete this contract, in excess
of the time set forth above plus any authorized time extensions.
In submitting this bid, it is understood that the right is reserved
by the Owner to reject any and all bids.
