To be honest this property is already starting to smell like a feed lot. It makes me cringe to think

Why are these people buying R-1 if they want AG?
If they want AG they should buy AG. Don't buy R-1 then want to change it to AG.
I bought R-1 because! want R-1. Over the 33 years I have lived here it has developed into a strong

Dear Sirs:
Planner Chris Gathman,
Proposed project: Change of zone from Residential to Agricultural.
While walking by Shawn and Buffi's on Sunday 02/25/2024.1 noticed they already have a good start on
a feedlot. South of the southeast out building.
It is already starting to smell like a feedlot too.
Let's leave the feedlots out in the country.
Not across the street of residential housing.
Not next to elementary schools.

I am Barbara M. Flores and I live directly across Cherry Avenue to the west of the
Elliott's property. This acreage is not in the middle of R-1 zoned properties but is
located on the eastern edge of the neighborhood. I have lived here for 16.5 years,
and their property has been used for agricultural purposes as long as I have been
here, and long before. They have 5 acres where they have had horses, burros, goats,
llamas, geese, etc. as long as I have lived here. He has irrigated pasture and is
actively engaged in agricultural endeavors. The property is always kept in good shape
and his animals are well cared for. I fully support this property zoning being changed
from R-1 to A. I feel the County must feel that this is appropriate also, as you
approved a building permit for a large indoor arena for horse events in 2020.

I strongly support Mr. Elliot having his property as agricultural. He is a responsible and thoughtful
neighbor. I have lived next door to the Elliots since they moved in. Shawn is highly attentive to keeping
his property clean, including the animal areas. There is no intrusive noise or smell that comes my way. It
is always enjoyable to have good animal husbandry apparent in our neighborhood.
