VETERANS DAY
NOVEMBER 11, 2024
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners recognizes veterans, their families,
caregivers, and survivors; and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Veterans Service Office under Employment Services of Weld
County remains committed to supporting veterans as they transition from military to civilian
life, applying for service -connected disability, non -service -connected pension, burial &
survival benefits, educational benefits, and health care from the Department of Veteran
Affairs; and
WHEREAS, it is essential that we recognize not only the sacrifices of our veterans but also
the immense value they bring to our economy and communities as they continue to serve
as role models, leaders, and a highly skilled and motivated labor pool in various industries;
and
WHEREAS, Employment Services of Weld County is honored to work alongside our
veteran community to promote services and remains steadfast in its efforts to ensure
veterans receive the recognition, respect, and opportunities they have earned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, by the Board of Weld County Commissioners
that November 11, 2024, be known as Veterans Day in Weld County, and encourages all
citizens to join in recognizing the service, sacrifice, courage, and valor of our veterans,
celebrating their dedication to protecting our freedoms, and supporting them in their
professional and personal endeavors.
