WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT MONTH
SEPTEMBER 2024
WHEREAS, the strength of Weld County's workforce ecosystem is bolstered through
collaboration with education partners, businesses, community organizations, and local
governments, all working together to meet the current and future needs of both job
seekers and employers; and
WHEREAS, regional collaboration between Employment Services of Weld County and
surrounding counties, particularly through partnerships with Larimer County, strengthens
workforce development efforts and ensures economic prosperity is shared across Weld
County and Northern Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the business services team within the Workforce Center actively engages with
local industries to provide tailored recruitment assistance, talent development, labor
market information, and innovative solutions that help Weld County businesses grow and
adapt in an evolving economy; and
WHEREAS, through comprehensive job seeker services —including career coaching,
resume assistance, skills training, and workshops —the Weld County Workforce Center
equips individuals with the tools and confidence they need to thrive in a competitive job
market and contribute to the region's workforce.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, by the Board of Weld County Commissioners,
in partnership with Employment Services of Weld County and the Weld County Workforce
Development Board, that September be designated as Workforce Development Month.
