To the Honorable Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado: Gentlemen: We, the undersigned, Citizens and Freeholders of your County, residing within two (2) miles of the road herein sought to be laid out, respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County wagon road to be laid out as follows, to-wit: Commencing at 4 Said road to be not less than sixty (60) feet in width. It will be necessary to install a culvert and fill at one point where the road crosses a slough,but the expense of this,as I understand it, is to be undertaken by the district. I therefore recommend that the prayer of the peti- tioners be granted,and the road be declared open. ' Dear Sir: - We are tin receipt of a road petition signed by yourself and others relative to the opening of a certain road in your district. . - We also roceiv'ed your chock as a deposit on same. In looking this matter up we find that the right of way along the 1ine, of road covered by your petition has been reserved by the United States Goverment for road purposes, under an order bearing date of October I2th, I889. -However, • it is .nocessary and advisable wherever roads are required along the lines of these reservations to petition for same in the r,- . regular manner. We will give your petition our full consideratipn and we are willing to help develop and improve the road whenever it is .logally established and opened for public use. . In' referenco to a survey for the purpose of locating correct positionxof the road, we would suggest that you have this done whenever convenient, advising this Board when the work is finished. In looking up the location of Buckingham, we find that our road raps on file in this office show the location to be in the forth-east quarter of section 33, township 8, range 59, and on the Burlington -Railroad. You must have referred to a map that hangs on the Wall in this office, which does show- Buckingham as - being located .(121 section I9 . We will be glad to consider any further suggestions or requests for information in reference to the road thct you and ' others have requested opened.
