APPOINT DIRECTOR FROM WELD COUNTY
TO THE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT:
WHEREAS, pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes '63, Chapter 89,
as amended, a Regional Transportation District ha/been created comprising
Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Jefferson, Douglas and Weld Counties, and
WHEREAS, said statute provides for the appointment of a twenty-one
(21) man Board of Directors to run and manage said District, and
WHEREAS, Weld County is entitled to one (1) member on said Board
who will serve until July 1, 1973, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
is authorized to appoint its representative to said Board, subject to the
approval of the majority of the governing bodies of the cities and towns within
Weld County, Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, that W. E. (Bing) McMahan of LaSalle, Colorado, be and
he hereby is appointed as the representative from Weld County to serve on the
Board of Directors of the Regional Transportation District until July 1, 1973;
however, subject to the approval of the majority of the governing bodies of
the cities and towns within Weld County, Colorado.
The above and foregoing resolution was,
seconded, adopted by the following vote:

Dear Commissioner Anderson:
The City of wished to endorse the appointment of
W.E. McMahan of Greeley, Colorado to the Board of Directors of the Regional Trans-
portation District of Weld County.
Mr. McMahan has lived in Greeley and been a resident of Weld County most of his life.
He is a professional transportation man, and since the primary purpose of this pro-
posed District is to prepare for transportation systems of the future, he is qualified
to serve.
