Re : Vacation of 47th Avenue Court and West 21st Street
Road
To the County Commissioners:
School District 6 , by resolution , has authorized our firm to handle
the dealings with the county regarding the new elementary school site
at 47th Avenue and 20th Street. The School District wishes to advise
the Commissioners that it has no intention of developing , as indi-
vidual lots , Lots 3 , 4 and 5 of Block 1 and Lots 5 and 6 of Block 2 ,
Meadow Acres Subdivision , portions of which lots are contained within
the proposed site for the new elementary school . Since these lots
are not being developed, individually , there should not be a problem
as far as lack of access to these lots.
If in the future , it is legally and practically possible for the
School District to vacate the portions of lots of Meadow Acres Sub-
division within the boundary of such school property known as Parcel
B, the School District will proceed by petition to the County Com-
missioners for this vacation.
Since construction has been scheduled to begin May 1 , it is not prac-
tical at this time to request a vacation of these lots prior to the
construction of the new elementary school.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Very tr91you ,

Dear Sirs,
The Mountain Bell Company has no objection to the vacation of a portion
of 47th Avenue Court and 11th Street Road in the Meadow Acres subdivision.
The area is involved with the acquisition of land for the construction of
a new District 6 Elementary School and the vacation petition was requested
by Mrs. Betsy B. Karowski, the School District's legal counsel.
Yours truly,

Dear Chuck:
The Greeley Planning Commission reviewed the request for a replat for
a part of Meadow Acres Subdivision at its meeting on November 13, 1979. The
Commission recommended approval of the replat request conditioned upon the
following. The plat needs to be amended to extend the lot lines to the center
of 47th Avenue Court and West 21st Street Road, since these streets have
already been vacated. Additionally, a note needs to be placed on the plat
identifying the County Commissioners ' action vacating the streets.
Thank you for the opportunity to review this referral .
Respectfully,
Ken McWilliams
