Dear Mr. Schmeeckle:
We are surprised that you have not recorded the Treasurer's Deed on
Lot 8, Block 7, Rayner B & W property which you purchased in 1941.
In order for you to indicate to us your goon faith, we would appreci-
ate your having this deed recorded at your earliest convenience, so
that the records in the Assessor's Office, the Treasurer's Office and
the County Commissioner's Office may be cleared.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Very truly yours,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
Millard H. Ewing
Chairman of the Board

CHARLES O. BURSIEL, TREASURER
F. M. LOUSTALET, DEPUTY
Mr. H. H. H"nsen, Assessor,
Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County Colorado.
Dear Sirs:
The above description was assessed for general taxes in 1929
went to tax sale in 1930 Ctf. 1366 was issued to the County and the taxes of 1930
to 1939 inclusive were endorsed on this certificate.
On April 8, 1940 the County Treasurer issued 4 deed to Weld County
and it was recorded in Book 1063 at Page 216; subsequently on Feb.3,1941 this lot was
sold to Albert Schmeeckle for $ 127.00 BUT THE DEED HAS NEVER BERN RECORDED.
k'
It was assessed to Weld County in 1941 abd the taxes not being
paid, it went to tax sale in 1942, Ctf. 391 was issued to the County and the taxes
of 1942-1943 & 1944 were endorsed on this certificate which was redeemed by Albert
Schmeeckle April 3, 1943, then he must have paid the taxes for 1945 but for 1946 so
it went to tax sale again in 1947 Ctf. 354 was issued to the County and the taxes of
1947 to 1949 were endorsed on t'His certificate which Mr. Schmeeckle redeemed April
11, 1951.
He did not pay the taxes for 1950, so it went to tax sale in 1951
for the 1950 taxes Ctf. 199 was issued and the taxes of 1951 were endorsed on this
certificate which was assigned to C. L. Witt May 20, 1952 and is still unredeemed.
The 1952 taxes not being paid it went to tax sale in 1953 for the
1952 taxes and Ct£. 272 was issued to the County and the taxes of 1953 to 1960 have
been endorsed on this certificate. This is still being assessed to Weld County
c%o Albert Schmeeckle.
Weld County has the only title of record, Mr. Schmeeckle has none,
but Mr. Witt has a 1st lien on this property by virtue of holding Ctf. 199 of the
1951 tax sale.

Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, "olorado.
Dear Sirs: I enclose letter to Assessor dated November 16, 1961
regarding assessment of Lot 8, Block 7, B & W Raymer the title owner of record
being Weld County, Colorado.
I also enclose statement of all taxes a;ainst this lot and
a voucher to redeem and pay Mr. Witt for his certificate plus the taxes for 1962
assessed to Weld County, in the total amount of $35.63
Also I ask for a resolution cancelling Co. Tax Sale Ctf. 272 of
the 1953 Tax Sale for the taxes of 1952 to 1961 on this certificate..
Mr. Walter Bussey of Raymer has expressed a little interest
in byying the building at least if these taxes are cleared up; and for this purpose
I have obtained from the Assessors records that the building is valued at 300 and the
lot at 10.
I understand that the address of Albert Schmeeckle is now
Sterling, Colorado. If he would surrender his unrecorded deed, something could
be done about this. Of course Mr. Witts Certificate will be outlawed in 15 years.
Doubt if he got a deed in less if ityifould b good account erroneous assessment.
Yours v truly,
