1. on the 15th day of July, 1965, pursuant to the provisions
of the Water Conservancy Act of Colorack , Colorado tteviseu statutes
1953, sections 150-8-1 to 150-5--50, both inclusive, there was
filed in the office of the Clerk of the District Court, sitting
rn and for Weld County, Colorado, a petition for the establishment
of a water conservancy district to be known as Central Colorado
Water Conservancy District.
2. The general description of the purpose of the said
district and the contemplated improvement thereof is as follows,
to --wit: To protect and conserve the rights of the irrigators
within the proposed district; To acquire and appropriate waters
of the Colorado River and the South Platte River and the tribu-
taries thereof and other sources of supply, and by means of "Works"
as defined in said "Water Conservancy Act" divert, store and trans-
port such waters to and in the South Platte River and its tribu-
taries and by means of said "Works", and such waters to conserve,
develop and stabilise supplies of water for domestic, irrigation,
power, manufacturing and other beneficial uses within and for
the territory to be included in the said proposed district; To
develop additional water storage by means of reservoirs; To
foster the establishment of operating principles of storage reser-
voirs in the South Platte Basin to secure highest practicable
beneficial use of eaters of the South Platte Basin, within the
boundaries of the proposed district; To improve the efficiency
of irrigation, to elminate waste and to promote the conservation
of water within the boundaries of the proposed district; To promote

the purposes of the "Water Conservancy Act" of Colorado as
set forth in Colorado Revised Statutes 19&3, Section 150-S-1,
within the boundaries of the proposed district.
3. The territory to be included in said proposed district
and the property to be benefited by the proposed district lies
in the counties of Adams and Weld, State of Colorado, and is
described as follows:

LYING AND BEING IN ADAMS COUNTY, COLORADO
That portion of Secs. 1, 2 and II and 12, T. 1 S., R. 67 W. of the 6th F.M. lying between the Brantner Extension Ditch and the Lupton
Meadows Ditch and that portion of Adams County lying within the following described boundaries commencing on the East bank of the South Platte
River as it intersects the North boundary line of Sec. 6, T. 1 S., R. 66 W. of the 6th P.M., thence Southwesterly along the East bank of the
South Platte River as it flows through Secs. 1, 12, II, 14, 23, 26, 35, 34, T. 1 S., R. 67 W. of the 6th P.M., thence continuing along the East bank
of the South Platte River as it flows through Secs. 3, 4, 9, 8, 16, 17, T. 2 S., R. 67 W. of the 6th P.M. to a point on the Westerly line of Sec. 20,
thence South along the Westerly line of Sec. 20 to the Southwest corner thereof, thence Easterly along the South line of Sec. 20 to a point
on the O'Brian Canal, thence Northeasterly along the Southerly bank of the O'Brian Canal through Sec. 21 and Sec. 22 to a point where the
O'Brian Canal crosses the South line of the N/N/ of Sec. 22, thence East along the Southerly line of the N/N% Sec. 22 to the Easterly bound-
ary line of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad right of way, thence Northeasterly along the Easterly boundary line of the said Chicago,
Burlington and Quincy Railroad right of way through Secs. 22, 23, 14, 11 and 12, all being located in T. 2 S., R. 67 W. of the 6th P.M. to the
North line of said Sec. 12, thence Easterly along the county highway in Sec. 7, T. 2 S., R. 66 W. of the 6th P.M., thence Northeasterly along the
Easterly line of the O'Brian Canal to the point at which it intersects the North line of Sec. 6, T. 2 S., R. 66 W. of the 6th P.M., thence East

porate limits of the City of Brighton, Colorado, and further excepting all lands in Sec. 12, T. 1 S., R. 67 W. of the 6th P.M. lying within the
corporate limits of the City of Brighton, Colorado. It is hereby intended to exclude from the boundaries of the district all property lying within
the city limits of the City of Brighton, Colorado, as constituted on the 1st day of March, 1965. Also including within the boundaries of said district
within Adams County, Colorado, all of Sec. 1 and the E/ Sec. 2, T. 1 5., R 65 W. of the 6th P.M.

of 10.0(j A.M., by the District Court sitting in and for Weld
County, at the Weld County Court House, Fourth Floor, in the
City of Greeley, Weld County, Colorado.

including a person, firm, partnership, ar5eociation, or corporation
owning or interested in property within the territory above des-
cribed will be given the opportunity to be heard at the time and
place above specified.
