RE s CONCURRENCE WITH THE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISS ION'S RECOMIiENDAT ION
FOR GRANTING PETITION OF W S MILLER, PRESIDENT, CACHE LA POUDRE MUSEUM
ASSOCIATION, TO ERECT BUILDING FOR MUSEUM:
WHEREAS, The County Commissioners of v'deld County, Colorado, have been fully
advised by the Weld County Planning Commission in relation to the:following Peti-
tion of W S Miller, President, Cache La Poudre Museum Association.
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, that the recommendation sof the Yield County Planning

Commission be concurred in and the Petition be granted as follows:
Construction of a building for museum.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following votes

The Petition of W. L. Smith for a Go Cart Track, oval type 140 feet by 400 feet, as-
phalt 20 feet wide on Ells property north Eleventh Avenue on north side of property;
Buildings and track to be at least 25 feet from Markus property line, was withdrawn.
The letter end Proposed Plans of Safeway Stores, Inc., for a proposed Safeway Store
Site at 140 South Denver Avenue, Fort Lupton, Colorado, was read. 'George Mosier
made a motion that the letter and proposed plans be forwarded to the Fort Lupton
City Council for their recommendation. It was seconded by Elmer Shultz. Carried.
The Petition of Ralph Boehner and W. A. Snorgrass of Keenesburg for farm buildings
with emphasis on sanitary hog producing facilities to include several buildings,was
read. The location is SE4i Sec. 30, Township 2, Range 64, except that part South of
Railroad and portion sold to State Highway Department, approximately 54 acres.
Signing the Petition were Horace S. Marrs, Keenesburg; James F. Bell, R. L. Curther
and Geo. E. Shaklee, all of Hudson; C. H. Starks, Harry A. Tippin, H. W. Ruhl, Reu-
ben Green and Robert H. Moyer all of Keenesburg. After discussion of the location
a motion was made by Elmer Shultz, that they recommend to the Board of County Com-
missioners the approval of the said Petition. Seconded by George Mosier. Carried.
The Petition of Robert M. Gilbert for a one-story single-family dwelling on Part of
Section Eleven (11), Townshi Five (5) North, Range Sixty -Six (66) west of the Sixth
Principal Meridian, Weld County, Colorado, was read. Elmer Shultz moved that the
Petition of Robert M. Gilbert be recommended to the Board of County Commissioners
for Approval. Seconded by George Mosier. Carried.
The Petition of W. S. Miller, President, Cache La Poudre Museum Assn. was read and
Elmer Shultz moved that the Petition be recommended to the Board of County Commis-
sioners for Approval. Seconded by George Mosier. Carried.
The next regular meeting date --August 1 being a state holiday --will be changed tc
August 8, at 2:00 P. M. instead of the usual time of 3:00 P. M.
There being no further business George Mosier Moved the meeting be adjourned. Sec-
onded by Elmer Shultz. Carried.

The regular meeting of the Weld County Planning Commission was held
in the office of the Board of County Commissioners, on Monday, June 6, at
3:00 P. M. John Watson, Vice -Chairman called the meeting to order with
George Mosier and Elmer Shultz present. Absent Art King and John Wheeler.
The minutes of the meetings of May 2, May 16, May 24 and June 3,
were read and approved as corrected on May 2 meeting that Earl Collins ad-
dress was Nunn instead of Pierce.
Letters from Eugene D. Sternberg and Associates and John G. Welles,
Head Industrial Economic Division, Denver Research Institute, University of
Denver, were read and letters are to be sent thanking them for their inter-
est but professional assistance has already been retained.
The Application for Permit to erect Building for the Cache La Poud-
re Museum was read. Mm. Wm. Miller and Mr. Jerry D. Winters were present
and asked what steps they should take and also told about the plans for
said Museum. The Planning Commission asked them to go ahead and get afor-
mal petition and present it, but they felt it would be a very fine thing
to have.
The Petition of Mr. Campbell for cattle pens east of his present pens
were presented. George Mosier made a motion that the said Petition be rec-
ommended to the Board of County Commissioners for Approval subject to his
getting the other signatures of adjoining neighbors and getting the approx-
imate distance from the pens to the road. Seconded by Elmer Shultz. Ap-
proved.
George Mosier made a motion that an ajenda be mailed instead of the
post cards, stating Old Business, Petitions and New Business. Elmer Shultz
seconded the motion. Carried.
