HomeMy WebLinkAbout690278.tiffRESOLUTION WHEREAS, Longmont Red -D -Mix Company, a Colorado corporation, dba Windsor Red -D -Mix, Windsor, Colorado, has requested permission to locate a Red -D -Mix concrete plant on the following described property, to -wit: A parcel of land in the NW' -g of Section 22, Township 6 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P. M. , Weld County, Colorado, said parcel containing 1. 1 acres, more or less, and being a part of the right-of-way belonging to Great Western Railway Company, located East of the Town of Windsor, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the said requested Red -D -Mix concrete plant operation is in an industrial zone as set forth by the Planning Commission of Weld County, and WHEREAS, according to Section 3. 10 (2) (a) of the Zoning Resolution of Weld County, said Red -D -Mix concrete plant operation may be authorized upon the approval of the Weld County Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and WHEREAS, the Weld County Planning Commission has recommended that this business operation be approved by a Resolution dated April 29, 1969. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Longmont Red -D -Mix Company dba Windsor Red -D -Mix Company, Windsor, Colorado, is hereby authorized to operate a Red -D -Mix concrete plant on the following described property, to -wit: A parcel of land in the NW -4- of Section 22, Township 6 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P. A variance on lot frontage will also be necessary. Each parcel would be about 15t short. Mobile home does not meet the requirements of the Zoning Regulations. MOTION: By Mr. Heitman to deny the request and suggested Mr. Espinoza appeal to the Board of Adjustment for a variance and that the $10.00 fee be applied to the application. Seconded by Mr. Nix. Mr. Moberg stated there was no reason to disapprove the request as it would be located in an "I" Industrial zone. A letter should be written to the Town of Windsor regarding the request. MOTION: By Mr. Heitman to approve the site in their recommendation to the County Commissioners. Seconded by Mr. Bowles. A unanimous vote of "Aye". Motion carried. SUBJECT: Domke Feed • APPEARANCE: Josephine Jones DISCUSSION: Miss Jones inquired as to the policy of feed lots in a residential area. The feed lots have been sold and was inquiring if they could expand. Felt that the prime residential areas were moving to the west and south of Greeley. Mr. Bartels stated that feed yard had 304 M IR From an-: engineering point of view, this would be the logical place to go. Mr. Watson stated it seems to be the consensus of opinion that it should stay in Boulder County. MOTION: By Mr. Heitman to take the matter under advisement. Second by Mr. LePore. A unanimous vote of "Aye". Motion carried.
