ORDER FOR ELECTION OF NEWELL
LAKE DRAINAGE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for and in
the County of Weld has established by order the proposed
Newell Lake Drainage District and established and defined the
boundaries of said District.
The Board of County Commissioners, being fully advised
of the premises, hereby orders that: an election shall be
held within the proposed drainage district for the purpose of
determining whether or not said District shall be organized.
Notice of this election shall be published at least two weeks
preceding the election in:a newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published within Weld County.
Notice of said election shall contain:
(1) Name of the proposed district, Newell Lake Drainage District;
(2) The Boundaries thereof as set forth in this Board's
previous order establishing the proposed district;
(3) The polling places;
(4) The names of the judges of election;
(5) The names of three or more persons eligible for
directors of said district;
(6) The date of said election.
Said notice shall require the electors to cast ballots
which shall contain the words: "Drainage District - yes": or
"Drainage District - no".

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election will be
held for the purpose of determining whether or not said District
shall be organized:
(1) The name of the proposed District is Newell Lake
Drainage District;
(2) The boundaries thereof are as follows, the District
is located in Weld County, Colorado, and is more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the North-
west quarter (NW*) of Section 19, Township 4 North,
Range 68 West of the 6th P.M.; thence North along
the West line of said Section 19 to the Southwest
corner of Section 18, Township 4 North, Range 68
West of the 6th P.M.; thence North along the West
line of said Section 18 to the Southwest corner of
Section 7, Township 4 North, Range 68 West of the
6th P.M.; thence North 1155 feet, more or, less,
along the West line of said Section 7 to a point on
the unincorporated lateral ditch serving the Lucas
farm; thence Easterly 665 feet „mere or less, along
the South boundary of said lateral ditch; thence
South on a line parallel to the West line of said
Section 7,640 feet, more or less; thence South
85.00' East 660 feet, more or less, to a point on
the West line of the East one-half (El) of the

EXCEPTING AND EXCLUDING FROM SAID DISTRICT THE FOLLOWING
LANDS: Exclude Tract 22 except the north 6 acres and the west 9 acres
thereof; of said west 9 acres, not including the said north, the total
acres of tract 22 remaining in the district shall constitute 15 acres
more or less, as shown on attached plat.
INCLUDING IN SAID DISTRICT THE I'OLLOWINC LANDS.
(3) The polling place shall be the Little Thompson Grange
Building, Weld County, Colorado.
(4) The names of the judges of the election are as follows:
Jean H. Bein, Grace Sylvia Lucas, and Wilma Schowalter; alternates
are Betty A. Cook and Maryanne Pennock.
(5) The names of three persons eligible for directors of
said District are as follows: Edmond F. Griep, Charles W. Lucas,
and Glenn B. Brooking.
(6) The date of said election shall be the
June , 1964.
Every owner of land within said District, who is a citizen
of the United States, or has declared his intention to become a
citizen of the United States, and is a resident of the State of
Colorado, shall be entitled to vote at this election.
The electors are required to cast ballots which shall contain
the words: "Drainage District - yes" or "Drainage District - No".
