Dear Sir:
We are in receipt of your postal card of date 15th inst. , in-
forming us that the County Commissioners at their meeting July 1901 al-
lowed this Company the sum of $4.00 for a thirty-foot strip of land off '
the south side of the SI- of SV* and SV* of SE* of Sec .25-4n-66W.
On referring to the tax receipt for the first half taxes of 1900
we find that this land was assessed upon a valuation of $8 .00 per acre .
Now when a strip of this land is required for road purposes the County
only allows $3.00 per acre. Surely the County ought to allow the assessed
valuation.
However, please draw the warrant,#10054, and upon the authority
of this letter send us a Treasurer' s check for the $4.00 .

Gentlemen:
We, the undersigned, Citizens and Freeholders of your County,respectfully represent that the
necessities of the public require a County wagon road to be laid out as follows, to-wit: Commencing at

We therefore petition your honorable body to cause to be laid out and opened a County road as above

of the sum of one dollar to us each and severally in hand paid by the said County of Weld, the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, and of the laying out and opening of said road, hereby agree to give the right
of way through our lands as shown by the plat accompanying this petition, and relinquish all !claims for
