FOR GRANTING OF PROPOSED CATTLE PENS TO JOHN M CAMPBELL:
WHEREAS, The County Commissioners of ,geld County, Colorado, have been fully
advised by the Weld County Planning Commission in relation to the following Peti-
tion of John M Campbell.
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED, that the recommendation of the Weld County Planning
Commission be concurred in and the Petition be granted as follows:
Cattle pens East of present pens
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote:

Weld County
June 14, 1960
A special meeting of the Weld County Planning Commission was held on June
14, 1960, at the Greeley Country Club preceding a dinner invitation from the Gree-
ley Board of Realtors.
The meeting was called to order by John Watson, Vice-chairman and present
were John Wheeler, George Mosier and Elmer Shultz. Absent: Art King.
The Petition of John M. Campbell was presented with the additional names
and the approximate distance from the pens to the road as requested by the -Planning
Commission and: was approved and recommended to the Board of County Commissioners
for Approval.
The Petition of Edwin Gehring, 1923 Cherry Avenue, Greeley, for a steel
building 24 feet by 84 feet to be used as Machine Shop on
All that part of the East Half of Lot Four, in the Southeast Quarter
of the Southeast Quarter of Section Nine, Township Five North, Range
Sixty -Five West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Weld County, Colo-
rado, according to the subdivision of lands by the Union Colony of
Colorado, described as follows: Commencing at a point on the East
line of said Lot 4 which point is 264 feet North of the Southeast
corner of said Lot 4, thence West parallel with the Soutn line said
Lot 4 a distance of 332.4 feet, thence North parallel with the East
line of said Lot 4 a distance of 132 feet, thence East parallel with
the South line of said Lot 4 a distance of 332.26 feet to the,.. East
line of said Lot 4, thence South along the East line of said Lot 4
a distance of 132 feet to the point of beginning.
was presented. It was moved by John Wheeler that the Planning Commission recommend
to the Board of County Commissioners the approval of the Petition of Edwin Gehring.
Seconded by John Watson. Unanimously carried.
There being no further business George Mosier moved the meeting be adjourn-
ed. Seconded by Elmer Shultz. Carried.

June 6, 1960
The regular meeting of the Weld County Planning Commission was held
in the office of the Board of County Commissioners, on Monday, June 6, at
3:00 P. M. John Watson, Vice -Chairman called the meeting to order with
George Mosier and Elmer Shultz present. Absent Art King and John Wheeler.
The minutes of the meetings of May 2, May 16, May 24 and June 3,
were read and approved as corrected on May 2 meeting that Earl Collins ad-
dress was Nunn instead of Pierce.
Letters from Eugene D. Sternberg and Associates and John G. Welles,
Head Industrial Economic Division, Denver Research Institute, Uniflrsity of
Denver, were read and letters are to be sent thanking them for their inter-
est but professional assistance has already been ret=ined.
The Application for Permit to erect Building for the Cache La Poud-
re Museum was read. Mr. Wm. Miller and Mr. Jerry D. Winters were present
and asked what steps they should take and also told about the plans for
said Museum. The Planning Commission asked them to go ahead and get a for-
mal petition and present it, but they felt it would be a very fine thing
to have.
The Petition of Mr. Campbell for cattle pens east of his present pens
were presented. George Mosier made a motion that the said Petition be rec-
ommended to the Board of County Commissioners for Approval subject to his
getting the other signatures of adjoining neighbors and getting the approx-
imate distance from the pens to the road. Seconded by Elmer Shultz. Ap-
proved.
George Mosier made a motion that an ajenda be mailed instead of the
post cards, stating Old Business, Petitions and New Business. Elmer Shultz
seconded the motion. Carried.
Since the next regular meeting date,'July 4, is a holiday, it was
moved by Elmer Shultz that the next regular meeting be postponed until Mon-
day, July 11, at 3:00 P. M. in the Office of the Board of County Commission-
ers. Seconded by George Mosier. Carried.
George Mosier, along with John Wheeler representing the County Plan-
ning Commission, will set in on the City Planning Commission Meeting, on
Wednesday, June 8, at 9:30 A. M., at the office of Nelson, Haley, Patterson
and Quirk to review their proposed drainage area.
There being no further business, Elmer Shultz moved the meeting bead-
'9ourned. Seconded by George Mosier. Carried.
