RE: APPROVE RATIFICATION OF OIL AND GAS LEASE FROM VESSELS OIL AND
GAS COMPANY AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - E'/2, S34, TIN, R68W
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Ratification of an Oil and Gas Lease
from Vessels Oil and Gas Company, between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and North American Resources
Company, with terms and conditions being as stated in said ratification, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said ratification, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Ratification of an Oil and Gas Lease from Vessels Oil and Gas
Company, between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, and North American Resources Company be, and hereby is,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said ratification.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 9th day of February, A.D., 1998.

RATIFICATION OF OIL AND GAS LEASE
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT,WHEREAS,Heretofore under date of the. 1 7Fh_day of_ August , 19 87 ,a certain oil and gas
lease was made, executed,and delivered by
Weld County, Colorado
as Lessor ,to Vessels Oi t and as Company
as Lessee,covering the following-described lands in Weld _County,State of. Colorado ,to-wit:
SEE EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED HERETO AND INCORPORATED HEREIN.
said lease being recorded in Rook 1 1 71 at/We:0211512%f the records in the office of the Register of Deeds in and for said
County,reference to said lease and to the record thereof being hereby made for all purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, In consideration of the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) and other valuable consideration, the receipt and
sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, we, the undersigned,and each for himself and herself,as the case may be, do hereby
ratify,adopt.:and confirm the hereinabove-described oil and gas lease in all of its terms and provisions and du hereby (case, demise
and let said land and premises unto the said lessee hereinabove-named,his assigns and successors in interest,as fully and completely
as if we had originally been named as lessor in said lease and had executed,acknowledged and delivered the same; provided,however,
that this instrument shall cover and bind all interest of the undersigned which may have been acquired subsequent to the date of the
aforesaid oil and gas lease and is intended further to cover and bind any interest which the undersigned may hereafter acquire by
way of reversion or otherwise.
It being provided further that the undersigned shall not he entitled to receive any portion of the rentals payable under said
lease hut such rentals shall be paid to the persons designated to receive such rentals in accordance with the terms and provisions of
said oil and gas lease and their heirs,legal representatives,successors or assigns.
We hereby agree and declare that said oil and gas lease in all of its terms and provisions is binding on us and each of us and is
a valid and subsisting oil and gas lease and that this instrument shall be binding upon the respective heirs,executors, administrators,
successors or assigns of the undersigned.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
Enclosed please find two originals and one copy of a Ratification of Oil and Gas Lease
document for execution by one of the members of the Commission. This document is being
forwarded as part of the title curative prior to the deepening of the above-referenced well.
These Ratifications pertain to a 6.27-acre tract located in Sec. 34,T1N-R68W that was
leased by Vessels Oil & Gas Company from the Board of County Commissioners of the County
of Weld, CO on August 17, 1987. The lease was recorded in Bk. 1171,rec.#02115128 in your
county records.
Please execute both originals,keeping the"copy"for your files. The documents must be
signed in the presence of a notary public who will complete the appropriate acknowledgment
form. When completed,please return the originals to the undersigned at the letterhead address in
