RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES ON WELD COUNTY
ROAD 26 EAST OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 1
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Public Works has recommended to the
Board that "45 MPH" speed limit signs be installed on Weld County Road 26 east of Weld
County Road 1, to ensure safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic control devices are necessary for
the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of Public Works be, and hereby is, directed to
install "45 MPH" speed limit signs on Weld County Road 26 east of Weld County Road 1, for
the safety of the general public, and said signs shall conform to the State Manual of Uniform
Traffic Control Devices.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 1st day of June, A.D., 1998.

3. Approval for reduction of the speed limit on WCR 26 east of WCR 1 by the BMX Track
and the Union Reservoir.
