RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR
CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF THE WELD COUNTY ROAD 27.5
PROJECT - ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting
period for the bid for the Weld County Road 27.5 Project for the Engineering Department, Bid
Request No. 9600193, so as not to delay said project, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the
ten-day waiting period for said bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for the bid for the Weld County
Road 27.5 Project for the Engineering Department, Bid Request No. 9600193, be, and hereby
is, waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bid submitted by Bucklen
Equipment Company, Inc., for the Weld County Road 27.5 Project listed on Bid Request
No. 9600193, be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 17th day of July, A.D., 1996.

Prices given were$59,999 •.. $77,795.Bucklen was the low bid and was tie only contractor that
could meet our time frame for . e project therefore,I am recommending that Bucklen Equipment,
Inc. gets the award for$5•,9.9.00.
