Congratulations. The Southwest Weld County RTD Study has been selected as a recipient of a
Governor's Smart Growth and Development Award. This year's judging panel, comprised of
planners,government,and public and private interest representatives,has recognized your project
as an award winner in the Regional category.
The awards program gives special recognition to outstanding planning efforts around Colorado.
This year's nominations were based on innovative visions, ideas and projects that promote smart
growth and development in order to keep Colorado a unique and special place to live.
You will receive your award at the Governor's Smart Growth and Development Awards Luncheon
to be held Friday,August 21, from 1 p.m.to 3 p.m. at the Governor's Mansion,400 E. Eighth Ave.,
Denver. Parking is available in the lot at the corner of Eighth Ave. and Logan St. The entrance for
the luncheon is the north gate on Eighth Ave.
Although the awards luncheon is a casual barbeque, it is by invitation only. To R.S.V.P.for you and
your guest,please call Nicolette or Frank at(303) 866-2771 by Wednesday,August 12. There is no
charge for the luncheon.
This year's nominations will be published in the"Smart Growth and Development Awards Catalog,"
which canbe used as a.resource for these interested? in ^.art growth and deve!o meat. This catalog
