NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
By findings of October 12, 1999, the State Board of Equalization (state board) issued
Orders of Reappraisal affecting Fremont, Park and Saguache counties. The state
board further ordered the assessors to work with the Division of Property Taxation to
develop a plan for reappraisal and supervision required, and to present the county plan
to the state board at an open meeting on Friday, December 3, 1999.
The state board will reconvene on Friday, December 3, 1999 at 9:00 a.m., in the
Legislative Services Building, Hearing Room A, 200 E. 14th Avenue, Denver, Colorado.
The state board invites the county commissioners or their representatives to appear
and discuss the county plans.
The agenda will be as follows:
REQUESTS ON EXEMPT PROPERTIES
The state board will discuss issues related to the review of exempt properties and the
request by the Division of the consent of the state board to request a challenge on the
property listed below:
Universal Theological Seminary (Challenge)
Maurice Knaizer will review Pilgram Rest Baptist Church court case decision.
REAPPRAISAL ORDER PLANS
Fremont Review plan to reappraise Irrigated Farm Land classification.
Park Review plan to reappraise Vacant Land classification.
Saguache Review plan to reappraise Vacant Land classification.
