ROAD PETITION .
To the Honorable Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado:
Gentlemen:
We, the undersigned, Citizens and Freeholders of your County,respectfully represent that the
necessities of the publid
do not require the maintenance of the road located along the lino
between sect-tons 13-4-68 and 18-4-65, running north and south.
For several years past the road has been practically abandoned
by the county and the traveling public, on account of the lake,
caused by the accumulation of seepage water, which has been formed
on the west side of the N.W. of 18-4-65 and the east side of the
N.E. of 13-4-66. Recently this lake has been acquired by a Farm
Company, for which Mr. H. G. Clark is Manager, and steps are being
taken to construct a storage reservoir of same. And as owners of
farm property in the immediate vicinity of said abandoned road,
and- the ones-to-be-esgecit Fly--affec#.-ed- -by tits -formal abandonment
thereof,by Your Honorable Board, we do not hesitate in stating
that no serious inconvenience will he occasioned to the public
by the permanent closing thereof.
