Dear Ms. Sailas:
We appreciate the concerns you expressed in your letter of August 1, 1996, regarding Caroline
Avenue south of Wattenberg.
Every year the Board of Weld County Commissioners considers over 100 miles of roads that are
candidates for paving. Only 15 to 20 miles per year actually get paved.
We do plan to pave the platted streets of Wattenberg this year. Unfortunately, your family's
residence is outside this area. We have considered the section of road you are requesting to have
paved. We decided that it would require major road reconstruction and utility relocation at a
considerable expense. However, we will install new signs to better mark the curves on that section
of road.
