Enclosed are the Public Trustee's financial statements for the quarter ending September 30,
1997. Fifty-two foreclosures were filed during this quarter and 3,004 releases were processed.
By comparison, during the third quarter of 1996, 26 foreclosures were filed and 2,634 releases
were processed. For the nine months ending September 30,1997, a total of 147 foreclosures have
been filed and 8,528 releases processed. This compares to 78 foreclosures filed and 8,248
releases processed during the first nine months of 1996.
If you or the commissioners have any questions regarding these reports or the operation of the
Public Trustee's office, please let me know and I will be happy to try to answer them. If I do not
hear from you, I will assume that these reports are acceptable.
