This hearing will be held at the Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado, in the First Floor Hearing Room. You have-a right to attend this hearing and present evidence in support of your petition. The Weld County Assessor will be present before the Board. The Board will make their decision on the basis of the record made at the aforementioned hearing, as well as your petition, so it would be in your :interest to have a representative present. If you plan to be represented by an agent or an attorney at your hearing, prior to the hearing you shall provide, in writing to the Clerk to the Board's Office, an authorization for the agent or attorney to represent you. If you do not choose to attend this hearing, a decision will still be made by the Board by the close of business on August 10, 1995, and mailed to you on or before August 16, 1995. Because of the volume of cases before the Board of Equalization, all cases shall be limited to 15 minutes. Also due to volume, cases cannot be rescheduled. It is imperative that you provide evidence to support your position. This may include evidence that similar homes in your area are valued less than yours or you are being assessed on improvements you do not have. Please note: The fact that your valuation has increased cannot be your sole basis of appeal. Without documented evidence as indicated above, the Board will have no choice but to deny your appeal. At least two (2)working days prior to your hearing the Assessor will have available, at your request, the data supporting his valuation of your property. Schlagel 1262 WCR 20 1/2 Longmont, CO 80504 Parcel - 131317000013 Dear Board Members, This letter is to protest the tax evaluation of building number 002. This property was purchased by the above listed individuals in 1965. I lived and worked on this farm since 1965 until I rented another farm in 1977. In 1994 I built a house on this farm, because it looked like the other farm I was renting was going to be developed. I feel the valuation of this house is unfair in the amount. The base value of $182,199.00, is more than the construction cost of the house. If you would like documentation of the cost, I can provide you with all paid bills associated with construction. I feel that the value of this house should not be based on its location, because we do not own the property it is sitting on. Therefore, it's valuation should be based on any similar house located anywhere in the county. In my opinion I feel the valuation on this property should be $160,000 actual construction cost. --f) Sincerely, 44,1 vv- Q. 2 q s`1 Paul Schlagel 1260 WCR 20 1/2 Longmont, Co 80504 (303)772-3880 VI m .2 6 it to E sJbe y agm V N r I s 4o F- m moz a- VI a R h 4 h * nin a! 0 e o V a p 9 r6 1 0 o o o ,o. v o m t`., v o° u .\y 9 U s I • s q r in g — ' R m W 0 0 No so f I o W OS' crd c o n m j I v m I c 4 0 , $ K 95 r VI d` co 4 - O O O a -- O T 9 J rf\ -: E S ' /T o rtS _ a 4 rn 0 N Y N N a in a — cd d B v< C _ 1 B C J. a.n. c E. y C O m dL O co S — — .1 p sr 0 0 S o M to = L r L T r j j vt v ry- c" gt o '7- N ro a D° • - vn - s • 4 r tr.
