RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND
SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#1100 FOR A COMMERCIAL BUSINESS (AUTO AND FARM
MACHINERY REPAIR) IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT -JOE R. GAONA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on the 17th day of
January, 1996, at the hour of 10:00 a.m. in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of hearing
the application of Joe R. Gaona, 431 Wall, Eaton, Colorado 80615, for a Site Specific Development
Plan and Special Review Permit#1100 for a commercial business (auto and farm machinery repair)
in the A (Agricultural) Zone District on the following described real estate, to-wit:
Lot A of RE #1769 in part of the NIA of Section 1,
Township 6 North, Range 65 West of the 6th P.M.,
Weld County, Colorado
WHEREAS, Section 24.4.2 of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance provides standards for
review of said Special Review Permit, and
WHEREAS, at said hearing on January 17, 1996, the Board deemed it advisable to continue
said matter to January 31, 1996, at 10:00 a.m., and
WHEREAS, at said hearing on January 31, 1996, said applicant was represented, and the
Board of County Commissioners heard all of the testimony and statements of those present, studied
the request of the applicant and the recommendations of the Weld County Planning staff, and
deemed it advisable to continue said matter to February 12, 1996, at 10:00 a.m., to allow staff
additional time to review the screening plan submitted by the applicant on January 30, 1996,
pursuant to Condition of Approval #3 of the Weld County Planning Commission Resolution of
Recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the application of Joe R. Gaona for a Site Specific Development Plan and
Special Review Permit#1100 for a commercial business (auto and farm machinery repair) in the
A (Agricultural) Zone District on the hereinabove described parcel of land be, and hereby is,
continued to February 12, 1996, at 10:00 a.m.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 31st day of January, A.D., 1996.

SUBJECT: USR-1100, Joe R. Gaona
Staff is requesting additional time to review the screening plan from the applicant. A drawing of
the screening plan was submitted yesterday, January30•At that time, the applicant was
reminded that additional information regarding types, size and number of trees proposed, as
well as spacing between trees, is needed for the review.
The screening plan will be reviewed by staff as soon as the submittal is complete.
