BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado,
hereby approves Coloado Department of Highways Project Number S 0030(12), which provides
for the improvements of State Highway Number 52 in Weld County, Colorado, and authorizes
the County Attorney to join said Board as party petitioner with the State of Coloradan
of Highways in the event it becomes necessary to acquire needed right-of-way by
condemnation, it being understood that all court costs and awards to property owners
are to be paid by said Colorado Department of Highways.

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that they hereby approve a certain agreement with the State Highway
Commission of Colorado, a public corporation, for the use and benefit of the
Department of Highways of the State of Colorado, dated December 12, 1962, whereby
the County has reviewed and approved the Geometric Standards designated to govern
the construction of a Federal Aid Secondary Project S 0030 (12) of improvements
approximately 4.054 1/ miles long, beginning 0.129 miles West of the Boulder -Weld
County line - East to US 87 on State Highway No. 52 as per terms of said Agreement
on behalf of Weld County -by signatures of the Board, as per attached Agreement,
and made a part of this resolution.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made - ' - onded,
adopted by the following vote:

Enclosed is one copy each of Resolutions Nos. 1041-C, 1058-C and
1072-C, approved November 27, 1962 by the State Highway Commission,
effective November 27, 1962, in connection with State Highway routings
in Weld County. Portions of the Weld County map which have been colored
to indicate the additions and deletions to the State Highway System
resulting therefrom, are also enclosed for your information and file.
The 1953 Colorado Statutes Annotated, Chapter 202, Section 6,
states that the right-of-way of all abandoned portions of a State '
Highway shall revert to the adjacent property owners,'unle,s�s the aban-
doned portion is necessary for use as a public highway. ✓ff it is
desired bylyour Board that the abandoned portion should remain public
highway, your Board should submit within ninety (90) -days of abandonment,
the necessary resolution to add it to your County Road System,

COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT entered into this 12th day of December 19 62 ,
by and between the County of Weld party of the first part, and THE STATE /
HIGHWAY COMMISSION OF COLORADO, a public corporation for the use and benefit of
the STATE OF COLORADO, party of the second part, WITNESSETH that
WHEREAS, The Department has constructed, or proposes to construct, or
provide for the construf-ion of, a project known as Project S 0030(12)
approximately 4.054 -' miles long, beginning Vt 0.129 Miles West of
Boulder -Weld County Line - E to US 87 on State Highway No. b2 in the
County, and
WHEREAS, the said State Highway is part of the Federal Aid Secondary
System,
NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the Federal Aid Act of 1950, the
Parties have jointly reviewed the Geometric Standards governing the type of
construction for said Project and• have agreed as follows:
That, the 19 62 Annual Average Traffic Volume, as determined from actual
vehicular count, by the Planning and Research Division of the Department is found
to be 760 vehicles per day. Therefore, in accordance with approved and
established practices, the traffic volume twenty years hence is estimated to be
1596 vehicles per day. Consequently, the type of construction shall be that
designated as Type B of the Geometric Standards dated August 1, 1952, more fully
described as follows:
The surface pall consist of Plant Mixed Asphalt , 24 1 feet
wide on a roadway 40 - feet wide. The maximum grade shall be 4.0 percent
and the curvature shall not exceed 2 degrees and 0 minutes. The rights of

pcxxacicicx Bridges and Separations shall have a design load of H-20 S-16. Those
structures having a length less than sixty (60) feet shall have a clear roadway
width, between curbs or wheel guards, of 3/ feet and those having a length
of sixty (60) feet and over shall have a clear roadway width of 30, feet.
This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the
Successors and assigns of the Parties Thereto.
This Agreement is executed with reference to the signatories on behalf
of the County by virtue of a Resolution passed at the meeting of the Board of
County Commissieners held on December_12. 1960 certified copy of which is
attached -hereto.
