RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR ANIMAL CARE
SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - NORTHERN COLORADO ANIMAL
LEAGUE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Memorandum of
Agreement for animal care services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and the Northern Colorado
Animal League, commencing July 1, 1999, and ending December 31, 1999, with further terms
and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Memorandum of Agreement for animal
care services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, and the Northern Colorado Animal League be, and
hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 12th day of May, A.D., 1999.

AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
BETWEEN WELD COUNTY AND
NORTHERN COLORADO ANIMAL LEAGUE
WHEREAS, on December 16, 1999, Weld County, hereinafter referred to as "Weld", and
the Northern Colorado Animal League, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor", entered into a
memorandum of agreement for animal care services, and
WHEREAS, on April 20, 1999,the Governor of Colorado signed Senate Bill 99-137,
which increased the requirement of animal shelters to hold animals from three days to five days
prior to disposal, and
WHEREAS, Contractor has advised Weld County that the extended time of holding the
animals will add an additional cost of$6,030.00 for the remainder of 1999.
NOW THEREFORE, as a result of Senate Bill 99-137 the memorandum of agreement
with Weld County and the Contractor is hereby amended as follows:
1. The total contract amount for 1999 will be increased from $35,693.00 to $41,723.00.
2. The monthly payments from July1, 1999 to December 31, 1999, will be increased from
$2,974.42 to $3,979.42.
3. All other terms of the memorandum of understanding will remain the same.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties above named have executed this amendment on
the 11th day of May, A.D. 1999.
