Home My WebLink About972528.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE TWO AMENDMENTS TO LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -SEVERANCE AND HUDSON/KEENESBURG WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with two Amendments to Law Enforcement Service Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Sheriff, and the Towns of Severance and Hudson/Keenesburg terms and conditions being as stated in said amendments, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendments, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the two Amendments to Law Enforcement Service Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Sheriff, and Towns of Severance and Hudson/Keenesburg be, and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said amendments. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of December, A.D., 1997. Box 758, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80632, hereinafter referred to as "County," and the Town of Hudson/Keenesburg, Colorado, whose address is Post Office Box 351, Hudson, CO, hereinafter referred to as "Hudson/Keenesburg." WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, on June 2, 1997, the parties hereto entered into a Law Enforcement Service Agreement, wherein County contracted to provide various law enforcement services to Hudson through its Sheriff's Office, and WHEREAS, Schedule C to said Law Enforcement Service Agreement sets the hourly rate per deputy assigned to the event at $33.00, and sets the "the maximum cumulative total that Town Hudson may be billed for the service during the term of this fiscal agreement" at $39, 500 , and WHEREAS, the parties hereto now desire to amend said Schedule C to reset said hourly rate and maximum cumulative total at that rate and maximum amount stated in the attached "SCHEDULE C." NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants contained herein and in the original Law Enforcement Service Agreement between parties dated June 2, 1997, the parties hereto agree to amend said Law Enforcement Service Agreement as follows: 1. The attached "Schedule C" shall be substituted for the "Schedule C"currently attached to said Law Enforcement Service Agreement, with the hourly rate and maximum yearly amount to become effective on January 1, 1998, 2.
