HomeMy WebLinkAbout630150.tiff_GRANTING APPLICATION F('n VARIANCE WARREN FARMS INCORPOR1 J: WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, sitting as a Board of Adjustment, did on the 29th day of January 1963, at 2:00 P.M., conduct a public hearing upon the recommendation of the Weld County Planning Commission, re- garding application for variance by Warren Farms Incorporated for the construction of six brooder houses within the immediate vicinity of existing tenant houses and other. buildings, said brooder houses are to be 100 feet long and 60 feet in width, and are for the purpose of housing 25,000 turkeys, and are to be constructed three at a time, construction to begin immediately on the first three, and the remaining three to be built at a later date, and WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be to the best interests of Weld County to approve the recommendation of the Weld County Planning Commission to grant the appli- cation for variance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado does hereby confirm, ratify and adopt the recommendation of the Weld County Planning Commission to grant application for variance for the aforementioned construction by Warren Farms Incorporated. THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WELD COUNTY, COLORADO 630150 MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE BOARD DF ADJUSTMENT January 29, 1963 A regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, sitting as a Board of Adjustment, was held in the Commissioners' Room of the Weld County Courthouse. Mr. Melvin ➢inner, Attorney at Law, and Counsel for Warren Farms Incorporated asked that an application for variance be granted for the construction of brooder houses (6) in the immediate vicinity of existing buildings, rather than at a distance from them. He pointed out the benefits of such construction both in money saved, and in time saved if variance is granted. Also, he pointed out that the houses are to be used for the sole purpose of housing young turkeys (25,000) and that such young turkeys require constant care and surveillance to maintain their health. Mr. Shultz stated that in view of the fact that the notice of hearing had been duly published, and that there being no opposition to the application he moved to grant application for variance. Mr. Ewing concurred, and application for variance was granted as requested. There being no farther business, meeting was adjourned, 25 minutes past 2:00. of �.
