WHEREAS, The Weld County Planning Commission held many hearings
on the zoning of the Gilcrest - Platteville area pursuant to the
zoning laws of the State of Colorado; and,
WHEREAS, following said hearings, said Planning Commission
recommended to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County
that said Gilcrest-Platteville area be zoned; and,
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County
caused a notice to be published in The Greeley Booster on May 13,
1966 and June 2, 1966, informing the public of a hearing to be held
June 15, 1966 at 2:00 P.M. to consider zoning of the area known as
Gilcrest - Platteville area; and,
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners did on June 15,
1966 at 2:00 P.M. hold a public hearing to consider zoning of the
area known as Gilcrest - Platteville area; and,
WHEREAS, there was no opposition to the zoning of the area;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Gilcrest - Platteville
area be zoned as is shown on the map attached hereto and made a
part hereof. The area herein zoned is more particularly defined
as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a point in the Southeast corner of
Section 36, Township 3 North, Range 65 West of the 6th
P.M.; thence North to the Northeast corner of Section 24,
Township 3 North, Range 65 West; thence West to the
Southwest corner of Section 17, Township 3 North, Range 65
West; thence North to the Northeast corner of Section 31;
Township 4 North, Range 65 West; thence West to the
Northwest corner of Section 31, Township 4 North,
Range 67 West; thence South to the half section line
of Section 19, Township 3 North, Range 67 West; also
being the boundary of the Mead zoned area; thence
following the Mead zoned area line to the center of
Section 20; thence South along the said boundary line
to the St. Vrain River; thence westerly along said
river, also the boundary of the Mead zoned area to the
Southwest corner of Section 35, Township 3 North, Range 68
West; thence East to the point of beginning, in the County
of Weld, State of Colorado.

-PURSUANT TO THE ZONING LAWS OF THE STATE OF COLORADO, THE WELD
COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMEND AND CERTIFY TO THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD COUNTY, COLORADO THE ZONING
OF THE AREA KNOWN AS THE GILCREST-PLATTEVILLE AREA, MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS, TO -WIT:
Beginning at a point in the Southeast corner of Section 36,

-Range 65 West; thence West to the Southwest corner of Section

RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION TO SHE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Moved by George Mosier that the following resolution be introduced for passage by the Weld
County Planning Commission:
Be It Resolved by the Weld County -Planning -Commission that the Gilcrest-Platteville area
covering the following described property in Weld County, Colorado, -excluding any incor-
p&rated area, be zoned as shown on the official Gilcrest-Platteville map, to -wit:
An area beginning at a point in the Southeast corner of Section -36, Twonship 3 North,
Range 65; thence North to the Northeast corner of Section 24, Township 3 North, Range
-65; thence -West to the Southwest corner of Section 17, Township 3 North, Range 65;
thence North to the Northeast corner of Section 31, Township 4 North, Range 65; thence
West to the Nothwest corner of Section 31, Township 4 North, Range 67; thence South to
the half section line of Section 19, Township 3 North, Range 67, also being the boundary
of the Mead Zoned area; thence following the Mead zoned area line to the center of Sec-
-tion 20; -thence South along the said boundary line to the St. Vrain River, thence west-
erly along said river, also being the boundary of the Mead zoned area to the Southwest
corner of Section 35, Township 3 North, Range 68; thence East to the point of beginning
be recommended favorably to the -Board of County Commissioners for the following seasons:
1. Petitions were submitted asking for a Study of Zoning.
2. Public Hearings were held for the Study of Zoning.
3. Greatest majority of those present at these meetings were very much in favor of zoning
their area.
