RE: Amendment-Koenig Gravel Pit Mining Permit
Dear Sheri:
Weld County is amending the mining permit for Koenig Pit, AM-M-80-120, for the purpose.of
changing the final reclaimed use. The current final use is wildlife habitat. After the installation of
a slurry wall surrounding the pit inside of the permitted area,the final reclamation use will then be
developed water resource. This is the only change on the permit.
Weld County has entered into an agreement with Central Colorado Water Conservancy District to
use the pit as water storage for final reclamation.
