WHEREAS, a special hearing was held by the Board of County
Commissioners, in the office of the County Commissioners, Weld County
Courthouse on Monday, November 4, 1963 at 2:00 P. M., for the purpose
of hearing protestants, if any, regarding the zoning of the West Greeley
area more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section 23, Township 5 North,
Range 66 West of the 6th P. M. in Weld County, Colorado; Thence
South along the East line of said Section 23, 1,200.00 feet;
Thence Westerly along a line parallel to the North line of said
Section 23, a distance of 1,570.00 feet, more or less; Thence
Southerly along a line parallel to the East line of said Section
23, a distance of 490.00 feet, more or less; Thence North 66°16'00"
West 97.00 feet; Thence North 82°03'00" West 514.00 feet; Thence
North871°22'00" West 236.00 feet; Thence Northerly a distance
of 1,630.00 feet, more or less, to a point on the North line of
said Section 23, said point being 2,360.51 feet West of the
Northeast corner of said Section 23; Thence South 891°13'00"
East along the North line of said Section 23 a distance of 2,360.51
feet to the True Point of beginning.
and
WHEREAS, there appeared no protestants at the above hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, does hereby unanimously agree to uphold the recommendation
of the Weld County Pl-anning Commission by granting the approval for zoning in the
West Greeley Area as more particularly described above.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote:

Request - Change of Zone - West Greeley Area
From "E" Estate to "T" Transitional
Petitioner - Elks Club
A special meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado
was held on November 4, 1963 at 2:00 P. M., for the purpose of hearing protest
if any, on the proposed Change of Zone in the West Greeley Area as recommended
by the Weld County Planning Commission.
Present were: Millard H. Ewing, Chairman, Board of County Commissioners
Elmer L. Shultz, Chairman, Pro Tem
Tom V. Reed, Member
James Shelton, Attorney for the Elks Club
Mr. Ewing opened the meeting and the public notice regarding the Change of
Zone was read:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section 23, Township 5 North,
Range 66 West of the 6th P. M. in Weld County, Colorado; Thence
South along the East line of said Section 23, 1,200.00 feet; Thence
Westerly along a line parallel to the North line of said Section 23,
a distance of 1,570.00 feet, mor or less; Thence Southerly along a
line parallel to the East line of said Section 23, a distance of
490.00 feet, more or less; Thence North 66°16'00" West 97.00 feet;
Thence North 82°03'00" West 514.00 feet; Thence North 871°22'00" West
236.00 feet; Thence Northerly a distance of 1,630.00 feet more or less,
to a point on the North line of said Section 23, said point begin
2,360.51 feet West of the Northeast corner of said Section 23; Thence
_South 891°13'00" East along the North line of said Section 23 a distance
]Df 2,360.51 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
Mr. Shelton stated on behalf of the Change of Zone for the -Elks Club, I can
advise you personally that we contacted adjacent property owners and have
obtained their written consent. These names were attached to the original
petition. In total there are approximately 135 acres in the property of this
about 25 acres south of the club house and 35 acres to the west of the golf
course will be in Zone E for real estate development.
Mr. Ewing asked if there were any protestants, there being none, the following
motion was presented.
Mr. Reed made the motion the Change of Zone as recommend by the Weld County
Planning Commission be accepted. The motion was seconded and carried.

County, Colorado, the acceptance of the Petition of the Elks Club, presented
by James Shelton, Attorney, for Change of Zone in the West Greeley Area from
"E" Estate District to "T" Transitional District, more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Section 23, Township 5 North,
Range 66 West of the 6th Principal Meridian in Weld County, Colo-
rado; Thence South along the East line of said Section 23, 1, 00
feet; Thence Westerly along a line parallel to the North
line
of said
Section 23, a distance of 1,570.00 feet, more or less; Thence South-
erly along a line parallel to the East line of said Section 23, a dis-
tance of 490.00 _feet, more or less; Thence North 66° 16' 00" West

The above motion was made by John Watson, Seconded by Price Hopkins and unan-
