COMMENT: Mr. Billings reported on Sat. they had taken a good share of the
people complaining about this operation to the Ft. Collins area where
there are similar confined operations. There was no odor. Mr. Billings
felt it would be impossible to get any smell in the town of Pierce.
There will be 6000 feeder pigs a year. Felt there was no reason why the
operation wouldn't be an asset to the area. Mr. Telep suggested having
the Town Board of Pierce make a recommendation to the Commissioners before
a resolution is drawn up. Members concurred this would be in order. Mr.
Billings stated when the letter is written asking for a recommendation, also
ask if there are any conditions they want imposed.
