Home My WebLink About962083.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES WELD COUNTY, COLORADO NOVEMBER 20, 1996 TAPE #96-31 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, November 20, 1996, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Chair Commissioner George E. Baxter, Pro-Tem Commissioner Dale K. Hall Commissioner Constance L. Harbert Commissioner W. H. Webster Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller Director of Finance and Administration, Don Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Hall moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting of November 18, 1996, as printed. Commissioner Webster seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount of$230,666.44 (reflecting a +$3,138.75 adjustment from the November 18, 1996, warrant approvals). Commissioner Webster moved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Baxter seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. 962083 BC0016 NEW BUSINESS: CONSIDER TWO NOTIFICATIONS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARDS FOR PAC FUNDS WITH HUMAN SERVICES AND CATHOLIC CHARITIES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Tony Groeger, Social Services representative, stated this is the second year of participating in the Family Support Program, which is targeted to solve problems before they become greater. Commissioner Webster moved to approve the two notifications of awards and authorize the Chair to sign. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Harbert, and it carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
