COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
REGARDING PROJECT S 0024(23):
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that they hereby approve a certain agreement with the
State Highway Commission of Colorado, a public corporation, for the use
and benefit of the Department of Highways of the State of Colorado, dated
April 28, 1965, whereby the County has reviewed and approved the Geometric
Standards designated to govern the construction of a Federal Aid Secondary
Project S 0024(23) of improvements approximately 1.994 miles long, from
2.0 miles West of Ault at the easterly end of Project S 0024(13) and
extending easterly on State Highway No. 14, as per terms of said Agreement
on behalf of Weld County by signatures of the Board, as per attached
agreement, and made a part of this resolution.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote:

COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT entered into this day of
by and between the County of Weld party of the first part, and
THE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION OF COLORADO, a public corporation for the use and
benefit of the STATE OF COLORADO, party of the second part, WITNESSETH that
WHEREAS, The Department has constructed, or proposes to construct, or
provide for the construction of, a project known as Project S 0024(23)
approximately t.9a4 miles long, from about 2.0 miles W. of Ault at the
easterly end. of Project S 0024(13) and extending easterly
on State Highway No. 14 in the County and
WHEREAS, the said State Highway is part of the Federal Aid Secondary

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the Federal Aid Act of 1950, the
Parties have jointly reviewed the Geometric Standards governing the type of
construction for said Project and have agreed as follows:
That, the 1965 Annual Average Traffic volume, as determined from actual
vehicular count, by the Planning and Research Division of the Department is found
to be 1350 vehicles per day. Therefore, in accordance with approved and
established practices, the traffic volume twenty years hence is estimated to be
32 on vehicles per day. Consequently, the type of construction shall be that
designated as Type B of the Geometric Standards dated August 1, 1952,
(revised November 1, 1956), more fully described as follows:
The surface shall consist of Plant Mix Asphalt 1 24 ltfeet
wide on a roadway 40 feet wide. The maximum grade shall be 3.2251
percent and the curvature shall not exceed h degrees and 15 minutes. The
rights of way shall not be less than 76 feet in width, except through the
Town isi of Ault where the established street
widths shall prevail. Bridges and Separations shall have a design load of H-20 .
Those structures having a length less than sixty (60) feet shall have a clear
roadway width, between curbs or wheel guards, of ailfeet and those having
a length of sixty (60) feet and over shall have a clear roadway width of 1
feet.
This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the
Successors and assigns of the Parties Thereto.
This Agreement is executed with reference to the signatories on behalf
of the County by virtue of a Resolution passed at the meeting of the Board of
County Commissioners, held on a certified copy of which is
attached hereto.
