RE: APPROVE CHANGE ORDER LETTER #2 FOR WELD COUNTY COMMUNITY
CORRECTIONS BOARD AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - COLORADO
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with Change Order Letter#2 between the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Community Corrections Board, and the Colorado
Department of Public Safety, with terms and conditions being as stated in said change order
letter, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said change order
letter, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Change Order Letter#2 between the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Weld County Community Corrections Board, and the Colorado Department of Public Safety be,
and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said change order letter.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 21st day of June, A.D., 1999.

Dear Ms. Spangler
Pursuant to paragraph 1.A.4 of the contract between the Department of Public Safety, Division of
Criminal Justice (DCJ), and the Weld County Community Corrections Board, DCJ hereby notifies
you that the maximum amount payable from the State under Contract#99000000121, covering the
period July 1, '1998 through June 30, 1999, is hereby changed. The maximum amount payable for
residential transition placements at a daily rate of$35.37 per offender is hereby increased by
$60,000 to a new total of $873,333. The maximum amount payable for residential transition
placements for specialized services as described in Exhibit"A"at a daily rate of$52.04 per offender
is hereby increased by$25,000 to a new total of$1,063,757. The maximum amount payable for
residential diversion placements at a daily rate of$35.37 per offender is hereby decreased by
$130,000 to a new total of$803,783. These additional funds are for community correctional services
and may not be used for administrative expenses. The per diem rate remains unchanged.

This amendment to the contract is intended to be effective June 10, 1999, but in no event shall this

designee.
