Box 608 San Diego, California Dear Mr. Habush: In regard to the access road for heavy equipment being transported to the St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station, we request that you maintain legal weight standards as set by the State and Federal Highway System. .he also request that you particularly follow the weight limitations on the county's new bridge over the Platte River on Grand Avenue. This road number is 32 and 32.5. This road will be under construction during the summer. We suggest you use the following route Colorado State Highway 66 North on County Road 21 for 2 miles, West one-half mile on County Road 34, North on County Road 19.5 to the plant. BOX 608, SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA 92112 March 21, 1967 Weld County Commissioners 9th Avenue and 9th Street Greeley, Colorado Subject: Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station Y Access Roads During Construction Gentlemen: Enclosed is a sketch of the access roads that we propose to use during construction of the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station. Heavy equipment would most likely go from Route 85 to Route 66 and then north on County Road to the site. Grand Avenue would be limited to light trucking and passenger traffic. Will you please inform us as to allowable axle loading on the two bridges shown across the South Platte River and also for the various ditch culverts noted on the sketch. Very truly yours, A. L.
