RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY
CLOSURE OF VARIOUS WELD COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42-4-410(6)(a), C.R.S.:
"...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the
purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close
to through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion
thereof for a period not to exceed a specified number of work
days for project completion and shall, in conjunction with any such
road closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an
alternative routing of the traffic affected...", and
WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and
personal investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to
temporarily close to through traffic and to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on said
County roads by posting signs thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on
County roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of
such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide
traffic thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall
conform to the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 74 between Weld County
Roads 27 and 29 be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective, July 3, 1999, for
approximately four working days to repair a bridge, and further, that standard official traffic
control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 31 between Weld County
Road 80 and State Highway 14 be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective,
June 25, 1999, for approximately four working days to repair asphalt, and further, that standard
official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 110 between Weld County
Road 27 and Highway 85 be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective, June 30,
1999, for approximately six working days to install a culvert, and further, that standard official
traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 17 between Weld County
Road 54 and Johnstown town limits be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective,
June 15, 1999, for approximately thirty working days, and further, that standard official traffic
control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 12th day of July, A.D., 1999, nunc pro tunc June 15,1999.

SUBJECT: Road Closures
The following road was closed for 3+ days:
WCR 74 between WCR 27 and WCR 29 was closed on 7/3/99 due to a settled abutment
under a bridge. It was closed for four days.
The appropriate documentation is enclosed.

SUBJECT: Road Closures
The following roads have been closed for 3+ days:
WCR 31 between WCR 80 and St. Hwy 14 was closed on 6/25/99 to repair the asphalt. It
was closed for four days.
WCR 110 between Highway 85 and WCR 27 was closed on 6/30/99 for a cu!ivert installation.
It will be closed for six working days.
WCR 17 between Johnstown city limits and WCR 54 was closed on 6/15/99. It will be closed
for 30 working days
The appropriate documentation is enclosed.
