Subject:
Amendment to Personal Care Boarding Home Contract
Enclosed for Board approval is Amendment#1 to the contract between the Weld County
Health Department and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for
the Personal Care Boarding Home Program.
This amendment increases the amount the Health Department will be paid for
annual inspection and complaint investigation of personal care boarding home facilities in
Weld and Larimer counties from$265 to $290 per facility. The Health Department will
be responsible for these services for 15 facilities in Weld County and 11 facilities in
Larimer County.
For these services, the Health Department will be reimbursed an amount not to exceed
$7,540 for the period July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998.
This is a valuable service for a critical public health population, the elderly and mentally
ill, who cannot care for themselves. Health Department staff recommends your approval
of this amendment.
