HomeMy WebLinkAbout980412.tiff RESOLUTION RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR THE WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY TO PROCEED WITH LEGAL ACTION AGAINST PAUL SOLIZ FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Paul Soliz, VI #9700223, is allegedly in violation of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance, and WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has not been corrected, and WHEREAS, on the 10th day of March, 1998, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Paul Soliz, subject property owner, was present at said hearing, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to refer said violation to the Weld County Attorney's Office for legal action, with an instruction for delay of action upon such referral until June 8, 1998, to allow adequate time for the property owner to bring the subject property into compliance and for an inspection of the property by the Department of Planning Services staff. To bring the property into compliance, the following inspections must be inspected and approved: mechanical, skirting, water service, final plumbing, final electric, steps and landings. Mr. Soliz' sister said he received a loan with which to buy a water tap and complete all inspections, but he needs until the end of May to have the water meter and line installed. Due to his willingness to complete the work and call for all inspections, the Department of Planning Services recommends postponing legal action until June 1, 1998.
